In vivo, PF-05175157 inhibits formation of malonyl-CoA in the liver and skeletal muscle, inhibits hepatic de novo lipogenesis, and lowers the respiratory exchange rate in rats (ED50s = 6, 11, 7.8, and 3.5 mg/kg, respectively).
