PBD-150 is an inhibitor of glutaminyl cyclase (Ki = 0.49 µM for the human enzyme).{65362} It inhibits the formation of the pyroglutamic acid-containing amyloid-? (A?) peptides pGlu-A? (3-40) and pGlu-A? (3-42) in HEK293 cells expressing human glutaminyl cyclase and human amyloid precursor protein (APP) with an N-terminal deletion of the first two amino acids.{65362}
