LC10 is a lipidoid derivative of the secondary bile acid lithocholic acid (Item No. 20253) that contains two 10-carbon alkyl chains.{66148} It has been used in the generation of self-assembling skin-permeable lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). LC10 LNPs inhibit the proliferation of normal human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEKs) when used at a concentration of 100 nM and reduce the levels of TNF-?, IL-17, and IL-23 in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) at 50, 100, and 200 nM. Topical application of LC10 LNPs (10 mg/kg) reduces psoriatic-like plaques and reverses weight loss induced by imiquimod (Item No. 14956) in a mouse model of psoriasis.
