Echinocandin B is an echinocandin antifungal originally isolated from Aspergillus.{41861} Echinocandin B is an inhibitor of 1,3-? glucan synthase, and it inhibits incorporation of radiolabeled glucose into alkali-insoluble glucan by S. cerevisiae spheroplasts in a dose-dependent manner.{41862,41864} It inhibits growth of C. albicans in vitro with an MIC value of 3.9 µg/ml after 2 days.{41863}
