Phenmetrazine is a stimulant with anorectic properties. Structurally, it is an amphetamine analog with the terminal amine incorporated into a morpholine ring. Phenmetrazine has long been used as an appetite suppressant, but the compound is susceptible to abuse.{29097,29098,29099} 3-Fluorophenmetrazine is a halogenated phenmetrazine derivative. Halogenated amphetamines are psychostimulatory designer drugs that inhibit the uptake of monoamine neurotransmitters.{20299,19913} The physiological and toxicological properties of this compound are not known.
