Monomethylation of histone H3 at lysine 27 is associated with actively transcribed genes and positively correlates with H3K36 trimethylation.{42748} Levels of H3K27Me1 are increased in patients with metastatic hormone-naïve and castration-resistant prostate cancer.{42749}
