The COX-2 (human) Inhibitor Screening Assay directly measures PGF2? by stannous chloride (SnCl2) reduction of COX-derived PGH2 produced in the COX reaction. The prostanoid product is quantified via ELISA using an antiserum specific to PGF2?. This assay includes recombinant human COX-2 and is an excellent tool for a general COX-2 inhibitor screening. It will also help to eliminate false positive leads generated by less specific methods.
